Van Den Broek Life cares a lot about your privacy. We therefore only process data that we need for (improving) our services, and we are careful with the information we have collected about you and your use of our services. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.
SECTION 2: ABOUT OUR DATA PROCESSING
Below you can read how we process your data, where this data is stored, which security techniques are used, and who can access this data.

We use Office365 services for our regular business email traffic. This party has appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent abuse, loss and corruption of your and our data, as much as possible. Office365 does not have access to our inbox and we treat all our email traffic confidentially.
2.4. Payment processors: Shopify Payments
To handle a (part of) the payments in our online store, we use the Shopify Payments platform. Shopify Payments processes your name, address and place of residence information and your payment information such as your bank account or credit card number. Shopify Payments has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Shopify Payments reserves the right to use your data to further improve their services and, as a result, may share (anonymised) data with third parties. If you would use a deferred payment solution (credit facility), your data and information relating to your financial position will be shared with credit rating agencies. All the above-mentioned safeguards relating to the protection of your personal data also apply to the elements of Shopify Payments' services for which they engage third parties. Shopify Payments does not keep your data for longer than permitted by the legal deadlines.
2.5. Shipping and logistics: DHL, Deutsche Post, and SendCloud
If you place an order with us, it is our job to have your package delivered to you. We use DHL and Deutsche Post's services for carrying out the deliveries. It is therefore necessary that we use your name, share the address and residence details with DHL and Deutsche Post. DHL and Deutsche Post use this data only for the purpose of performing their service. In the event that DHL and Deutsche Post engage subcontractors, DHL and Deutsche Post will provide your data available to these parties as well.
SECTION 3: PURPOSE OF DATA PROCESSING
We use your data exclusively for the purpose of rendering our services. This means that the purpose of the data processing is always related to the service you have requested. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us, we will use it only to contact you at a later date, if we have received your explicit permission. Your data is not shared with third parties, other than accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all kept to secrecy under the agreement between them and us, or subject to an oath or legal obligation.
SECTION 4: AUTOMATICALLY COLLECTED DATA
Data that is automatically collected by our website is processed with the aim of further improving our services. This information (e.g. your IP address, web browser, and operating system) are not personal data.
SECTION 5: COOPERATION IN TAX AND CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS
In certain cases, Van Den Broek Life may be held under a legal obligation to share your data in connection with tax or criminal investigations by a governmental authority. In a such a case we are forced to share your data, but we will try to oppose this within the possibilities offered by the law.
SECTION 5: RETENTION PERIODS
We will keep your data for as long as you are our client. This means that we will keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you indicate this to us, we will also take it as a request for deletion of your data. Based on applicable administrative obligations, we must keep invoices with your (personal) data, so we will keep this information for as long as the applicable terms apply. However, in those cases, employees will no longer have access to your client profile and documents that we have produced as a result of any services you have requested as a customer.
SECTION 6: YOUR RIGHTS
Under current Dutch and European law, you, as a data subject, have certain rights with respect to the personal data processed by, or on, our behalf. We explain below which are these rights, and how you can invoke them. In principle, to avoid abuse, we will only send copies of your data to the email address that is known to us. In case you request us to send copies of your data to another email address or to a postal address, we will ask you to first identify yourself with an official government issued ID. We maintain an administration of any such requests, and in case of a request to “forget” your profile, we will keep this information in an anonymized form. You will receive all copies of your data in the format that they are kept in our systems. You have the right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority if you suspect that we have misused your personal data.

You always have the right to see which data we process that can be traced back to your personal details. In order to request this right, you can send an email to our contact person for privacy matters. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, then we will send you a copy of all such data, an overview of the relevant data processors that have your data and indicating the category under which we have this data stored. We will send all this information to the email address that is known to us.
6.2. Right of rectification
You always have the right to correct the data that we process and that can be traced back to your personal details. In order to request this right, you can send an email to our contact person for privacy matters. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, then we will send you a confirmation that the data stored has been corrected. We will send a confirmation to the email address that is known to us.
6.3. Right to restrict processing
You always have the right to restrict that data that can be traced back to your personal details is processed by a third party. In order to request this right, you can send an email to our contact person for privacy matters. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, then we will send you a confirmation that the data will no longer be processed. We will send a confirmation to the email address that is known to us.
6.4. Right to transferability
You always have the right to request that data that can be traced back to your personal details is processed by a different third party. In order to request this right, you can send an email to our contact person for privacy matters. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, then we will send you a copy of all such data, an overview of the relevant data processors that have your data and indicating the category under which we have this data stored. We will send a confirmation to the email address that is known to us. Please know that if you exercise this right, it is likely that we cannot continue providing any services to you via our website because the safe connection of data storage can no longer be guaranteed.
6.5. Right of objection and other rights
You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by, or on behalf of, Van Den Broek Life. Upon receipt of your objection, we will immediately stop processing your data, pending the outcome of your objection. If your objection is granted, then we will send you a copy of all such data, an overview of the relevant data processors that have your data and indicating the category under which we have this data stored. We will also permanently stop any further processing of data. You also have the right to not be subjected to profiling and/or automated decision making. We do not process your data in a way that would allow this to happen. If you think that this is the case, please contact our contact person for privacy matters.
SECTION 7: COOKIES
7.1. Google Analytics
Throughout our website, the American company Google, has placed cookies, as part of the "Analytics" service. We use this service to track and get reports on how visitors use the website. This processor may be required to provide access to these data. We collect information about your browsing habits and share this information with Google. Google can interpret information in conjunction with other datasets and thus interpret your movements on the internet. Google uses this information to offer targeted ads (Adwords) and other Google services and products.
